The Organisation of NCC Netherlands

The NCC Netherlands is coordinated by SURF, which is the Dutch member-based collaborative organisation that provides access to general ICT support for research and education institutes in the Netherlands. The range of support of the covers from digitalization skills up to advanced high-performance computing (HPC) support.

In addition, researchers can also apply for funding and support through open calls through The Dutch Research Council (NWO).

About SURF Cooperation

SURF is a cooperative association of Dutch educational and research institutions in which the members combine their strengths. Within SURF, we work together to acquire or develop the best possible digital services, and to encourage knowledge sharing through continuous innovation. The members are the owners of SURF.

Information about NWO

The Dutch Research Council (NWO) is one of the most important science funding bodies in the Netherlands and realises quality and innovation in science. Each year, NWO invests almost 1 billion euros in curiosity-driven research, research related to societal challenges and research infrastructure.

NWO selects and funds research proposals based on recommendations from expert scientists and other experts in the Netherlands and abroad. NWO encourages national and international collaboration, invests in large research facilities, facilitates knowledge utilisation and manages research institutes. NWO funds more than 7200 research projects at universities and knowledge institutions.
