FFplus has opened its second call for Innovation Studies focused on the development and customisation of generative AI models using large-scale European HPC resources.
This call is aimed at SMEs and start-ups with strong expertise in generative AI, software development, and data processing. Selected projects will use pre-exascale and exascale supercomputers to develop models such as foundation models and large language models, with a clear link to business needs and impact.
Proposal submission opens on 3 February 2026 at 09:00 (Brussels time).
The call will close once 250 proposals have been received, or on 25 February 2026 at 17:00, whichever comes first.
Innovation studies can run for up to 10 months, starting around 1 September 2026, with a total indicative budget of €4 million across all funded projects. Participation in this call is mutually exclusive with the parallel FFplus call for business experiments.
Interested applicants are encouraged to review the full call text, proposal guidelines, and supporting materials, including the webinar recording and presentation slides, before submitting.
