Maria is also Principal Applied Scientist at CERN’s IT department. She has led major initiatives in High-Performance Computing and data technologies to support the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world’s most data-intensive scientific experiment. She played a key role in building and operating the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid, and today she drives international R&D collaborations to prepare computing for the next generation of physics discoveries.
With her extensive experience in large-scale scientific computing and global collaborations, Maria brings unique insights into how advanced computing powers some of the world’s most complex research challenges.
