HPC Advisor & Coordinator NCC Netherlands

He is the coordinator of the NCC Netherlands and main organizer of training activities for academia and industry in the NCC and for the research communities at SURF.

Carlos was born in Ferrol, Galicia (northwest of Spain). He received his Master  (2008) in Computer Science and Computer Architecture and Technology from the University of A Coruña.

He was as predoctoral research fellow and teaching assistant in the Computer Architecture Group of the same university, where he received his PhD (2013) in Computer Architecture and Parallel Programming. He worked as postdoctoral research assistant in the Interdisciplinary Centre for Advanced Materials Simulation (ICAMS) at the Ruhr-University Bochum in Germany for five years and half, and in September 2018 he started his current position as HPC Advisor at SURF in Amsterdam.
